It started from an email from my friend about bicycle offroad adventure to a place called Nawit, east Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia. On the D-day, 20 January, I made an agreement with my friend to meet at exit tol East Bekasi.
In the beginning, I just want to guide my friend to a meeting point which is very close to my house. So, I decided not to put on the helmet and shoes. But it is a mistake that I made, when we enter the track, it is very challenging and I didn't want to miss this challenge. I decided to go on and joined the platoon to Nawit.
The tracks consisted of various track with different level of difficulties. Single track which is very slipery or it is because I used tire with specification for light cross country and its size were 1.95 comparing with others which use 2.10 size and offroad specification tire. I got slip several times although the track was an open field and very large. I had to be very carefully pedalling because I didn't want to be left behind.
I am so eager to wait another ride with my friend from Roger Bagen anymore because the track, the hospitality and the distance from my house is not too far. Yeah, I have to make some adjustment to my bicycle such as proper tire, suspension fork and a lot more. Well, usually considering the limited financial, I do it step by step from the important part first.
That's a little story from my trip on Sunday morning. I will post another experience with my next trip.
